Business Manager
Denise brings to Acumina a wealth of expertise and experience in a wide range of management projects and structures.
She is particularly skilled in people management and is a strong proponent of partnership working.
Denise is known for her creativity and solution focus: there is nothing she likes better than a good challenge and an innovative way forward. However, she also possesses a strong eye for detail: essential in any business
"Joining Acumina in 2008 was a big step for me. I had been working in training and change management within youth justice, at local and national levels, and was passionate about enhancing practice both to reduce reoffending and, just as importantly, to improve the lives of young people who commit crime.
So to change to education development was daunting, to say the least!
However, what inspired me to make the move was the opportunity to develop a company that shares my ideals.
I am delighted to have facilitated that development, with new and exciting initiatives that build on my personal areas of expertise.
So now Acumina is immersed in two apparently disparate areas of educational development and work with children, parents and families. However, both have one key factor in common: a passionate belief in peoples’ ability to grow and learn.
Inspiring learning: that’s what drives me and drives our company!"
